YEREVAN. - In 2017, the visitors of Armenian museums may increase by 40 percent, Armenian Culture Minister Armen Amiryan said in the parliament on Monday, speaking at the debate on the report of the 2016 State Budget performance.

In 2016, the museums registered 712,4 thousand visits or 48,2 thousand more than last year. Since the beginning of the year, already 25-35 percent growth has been observed. Considering the continuation of tourist season, over 40 percent growth may be supposed. Such growth has already been registered in Garni museum.
