YEREVAN. – The Armenian side discussed the settlement of Karabakh conflict and recognition of the Armenian Genocide during the meeting with Swiss delegation, said Armenian Parliament Speaker Babloyan said at a joint press conference with the President of Swiss National Council Dominique de Buman.

“Bilateral cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries was also discussed during the meeting. Active cooperation of parliamentary friendship groups is extremely important,” said Babloyan.

The sides touched upon the issues of bilateral cooperation within inter-parliamentary organizations, noted Babloyan, adding that the Summit of La Francophonie to be held in Yerevan in 2018, would be another important platform for Armenian-Swiss cooperation.

According to Armenian Parliament Speaker, the sides also expressed views on international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, Armenian-Turkish relations in general, as well as the settlement of Karabakh conflict.
