YEREVAN. – The Dilijan tunnel was temporarily closed due to a fire on Saturday.
As reported earlier, a truck with Georgian license plates is on fire in Dilijan tunnel, as of Saturday at 11։30am, the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia reported.
According to the respective statement, drivers are recommended to travel via the Semyonovka motorway instead.
The fire caused great damage to the infrastructure of the tunnel, the ministry said.
The truck was carrying washing machines and televisions.
