The construction of a new gas pipeline is not on the agenda of the Armenian-Iranian relations now, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters on Tuesday.

According to him, it is not about the construction of a new gas pipeline, as now it is possible to implement existing programs.

The prime minister informed that prior to his visit to Iran he held phone talks with the Georgian prime minister, and presidents of Russia and Turkmenistan, and briefed them on a range of issues that he intends to discuss in Iran. Questions were considered as far as Georgia, Turkmenistan and Russia are interested in such discussions.

According to PM, all existing opportunities for cooperation with both the countries listed, as well as with the EU and the US should be considered.

“We must have initiatives and ideas on how to develop this cooperation, which is so important for ensuring integration and stability in the region,” the Prime Minister noted, adding that the Armenian agenda and actions would be transparent to the partners.
