YEREVAN. – The trial of the case involving Levon Yeranosyan, Former Deputy Chief of Police of Armenia, has resumed today at the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction.

The former deputy chief of police is accused of using sound grenades in Yerevan on April 16 and 22 in the days of the revolution in 2018, and acting beyond his powers.

According to the indictment, more than two dozen demonstrators suffered as a result of Yeranosyan's actions.

Criminal charges have been brought against Yeranosyan, and a signature bond to not leave Armenia has been selected as a pretrial measure for him

But Levon Yeranosyan  does not accept the charges, and states that the police actions have made it possible to secure the peaceful transfer of power in the country.
