We recommend changing the time when the law will be in effect, extending the restricted period of validity from January 1, 2020 to January 1, 2022. This is what Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia Vache Terteryan said during a discussion on the bill on making amendments to the Law “On financial equalization” at the National Assembly today.

According to him, enforcement of the law will be restricted in 2020 and 2021 as well.

The law is targeted at reduction of the differences of the opportunities of communities in order to contribute to the harmonious development of those communities, as well as the creation of opportunities to make minimum expenditures in all communities in order for local self-government bodies to perform their duties.
