The Russian MFA, commenting on the statement of the US Embassy in Moscow on the protests, said that attempts to incite radical elements would have negative consequences for bilateral relations.

According to the MFA, it is not the first time that the US Embassy in Moscow has demonstrated disregard for diplomatic norms and rules, actively posting messages on social networks supporting uncoordinated protests in Russian cities.

"The US authorities need to handle their own issues, including overcoming the deep divisions in American society created by social injustice, inequality, and the persecution of dissent," the statement said.

The US Embassy earlier noted they support the right of all people to peaceful protests, freedom of expression, and the measures of the Russian authorities are allegedly aimed at suppressing these rights.
