The European Union is following the developments in Armenia very closely, the representative of the EU foreign policy service Peter Stano said.
According to him, political differences must be resolved peacefully and in strict accordance with the principles and processes of parliamentary democracy. In accordance with the Armenian Constitution, the armed forces should remain neutral in political matters and are under civilian control, he added.
Maintaining a democratic and constitutional order is the only way that Armenia can effectively solve the problems it faces.
