Three ethnic Armenians were beaten in Georgian capital late on Sunday.

Eyewitnesses told Georgian Expressnews agency the incident occurred on religious grounds.

According to eyewitnesses, about ten young men approached another group of young people after the participants of Sunday procession started dispersing near the Cathedral of the Trinity in Tbilisi.

Their attitude towards ethnic Armenians was aggressive. However, it is not reported why the eyewitnesses thought young people were of Armenian origin.
