Armenia attaches great importance to the development of artificial intelligence, and the implementation of programs is impossible without it. Vahagn Khachaturyan, the Minister of High-Tech Industry, stated this during Monday’s conference, entitled "Prospects of Artificial Intelligence in Armenia."

According to him, in the modern world, the tasks of ensuring economic development from the point of view of information technology cannot be fulfilled without the use of artificial intelligence.

He added that any progress creates problems, and there have always been those who oppose it.

"However, not participating in the process contributing to development means lagging behind," Khachaturyan stressed.

The minister noted that the issue of cybersecurity is emerging, and it is impossible to succeed without resolving the cybersecurity issue; moreover, it increases the susceptibility.

The Khachaturyan reminded that by the decision of the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Information Systems Management Board has been established, which is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.

"However, the digitalization process is impossible without the involvement of the private sector and expert circles. The state attaches special importance to this," Vahagn Khachaturyan concluded.
