Information on the wheat stocks in Armenia is confidential and is not subject to public disclosure. Eduard Aghajanyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations and an MP from the ruling majority “Civil Contract” Faction of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, said this at Monday’s press briefing in the NA.

According to him, wheat is one of the risks that may arise from the current Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

"But why is everyone focusing on it? After all, there are other problems. Maybe they are much more important than wheat," said Aghajanyan.

In his turn, fellow “Civil Contract” Faction MP Vahagn Aleksanyan assured that the Ministry of Economy of Armenia was doing everything possible to render the aforementioned risks manageable.
