The Russian delegation has suspended its work in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), a member of the delegation, Senator Alexander Bashkin, RIA Novosti reports his words.

It was decided not to take part in the work of PACE committees and bodies, in plenary meetings, the politician said.

Bashkin explained that such a decision had to be made in connection with the bright anti-Russian directions of the assembly's work. In addition, he recalled that now the Russian authorities are considering the issue of terminating the participation of the Russian Federation in the Council of Europe.
