A group of citizens blocked with cars the interstate road to Georgia on the Spitak-Yerevan section.

The protesters are holding flags of Armenia and Artsakh and chanting "Armenia without Nikol," "Unity, Struggle, Victory."

"In order to have a dignified Armenia, to restore our dignity it is necessary to have an Armenia without Nikol. Our struggle is in the name of Armenia's sovereignty, in the name of Artsakh Armenians. The authorities are trying to lead the country to Turkification," said one of the protesters.

As NEWS.am reported earlier, a group of citizens also blocked the Sevan-Yerevan highway on 27 May.

Yesterday, deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament from the opposition Ishkhan Saghatelyan said that protest rallies will be organized in Yerevan and other regions of Armenia beginning in the morning of 27 May. There will be no rally today. Saghatelyan called on everyone to gather for a nationwide rally on 28 May, followed by a march.
