The national air carrier Azerbaijan has started operating regular flights between Batumi and Baku after a two-year pause caused by the pandemic, Novosti-Georgia reports citing the Adjara Tourism Department.

On Friday, about a hundred tourists arrived on the first flight to Batumi.

Flights on the route Baku-Batumi-Baku will be operated twice a week until the end of June, and from July - three times a week. Until the end of this month, the cost of a one-way ticket will be 115-135 euros (economy class).

Flights are operated by Buta Airways, a low-cost airline that is part of Azerbaijan Airlines.

Up to 300 flights from 12 countries of the world are scheduled for Batumi in June.
