The participants of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) have adopted a document confirming the principle of inseparability of security. The statement came from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the news conference after the aforesaid meeting, TASS reported.

"We have adopted a document on international security issues, which for the first time enshrines the principle of security indivisibility within the CSTO, the need to ensure equal and indivisible security when no country strengthens its security at the expense of the security of any other country," he said.

"As for the quantitative composition [of the CSTO], there is quantity, there is quality, both from the point of view of the states that enter this or that military-political union, and from the point of view of the defense capabilities that exist," Lavrov added.
