YEREVAN. – Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan on Wednesday visited the Second Army Unit, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The minister toured this military unit, and discussed with its commanding staff matters related to enhancing the combat-readiness of the personnel of this military unit, modernization of its infrastructure, and improvement of the building conditions of its units.

Then the minister of defense visited the eastern border zone, toured the combat positions, and observed the frontline improvement activities there. Papikyan assured that all issues related to frontline security will be properly studied and resolved.

Also, the minister reflected on the reforms launched in the Armenian armed forces and the programs related to the social security of servicemen, and assured that these tasks are always at the focus of the military and political leadership of Armenia.
