Negotiations with the participation of the presidents of Turkey and Ukraine Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Volodymyr Zelenskyy began in Lviv, the Turkish TV channel A Haber reports.

"The talks between Erdogan and Zelenskyy began in Lviv," the report said.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is also present at the meeting.

Erdogan is accompanied by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez, National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and others.

Earlier, the Turkish TV channel Haber reported that Erdogan intends to negotiate with Zelenskyy during his working visit to Lviv about his future meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Journalists stress that even if no final peace is reached between Moscow and Kiev, the achievement of cease-fire agreements will depend on what messages the Ukrainian leader sends to Erdogan during the meeting in Lviv.

Earlier, CNN Turk reported that Russian authorities softened their stance on a possible meeting between Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Zelenskyy.
