Tehran considers Albania's statement on severing relations with Iran ungrounded and unreasonable.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani rejected the Albanian government's unfounded claims against the Islamic Republic of Iran and said that the country's foreign ministry considered the country's decision to break off political relations with Tehran as a rash and short-sighted action in international relations.

"As one of the countries targeted by cyber attacks on its critical infrastructure, Iran rejects and condemns any use of cyberspace as a means to attack the infrastructure of other countries," the Iranian representative said.

Third countries that support terrorism played a key role in Albania's wrong decision, he said.

Immediate statements by the U.S. and Israel following Albania's statement demonstrated a new conspiracy against Iran. The IRI Foreign Ministry also noted that Albania is harboring a notorious terrorist group and regretted that Tirana was influenced by third parties in its inappropriate decisions.

As previously reported, Albania accused Iran of an attempted cyberattack against the Albanian government service and broke off diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic.
