The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Russia warned its citizens against participating in military conflicts on the territory of foreign countries, for which they face criminal penalties.

"In connection with the adoption by the State Duma of Russia of legislative acts providing for the simplified receipt of Russian citizenship by foreigners who have concluded a contract of service in the armed forces of Russia, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Russia warns Kyrgyz citizens temporarily staying in Russia from participating in armed conflicts or military actions in foreign countries," the press service of the diplomatic mission said.

For the participation of the Kyrgyz citizens in the military operations on the territory of other countries it is punished by imprisonment of up to ten years with confiscation of property.
