A fact-finding mission of comprising Members of the European Parliament (MEP) will be in Armenia from Monday to Friday, the headquarters of the Armenian National Committee informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The visit of this mission is based on the imperative to counter the recent Azerbaijani military aggression against Armenia and break the Azerbaijani isolation imposed on Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), as well as the need to ensure the continued internationalization of the Artsakh conflict and protect Armenian interests.
During the visit, meetings are planned with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, a delegation from Artsakh, as well as with the representatives of Armenia's legislative and executive power and the political opposition.
On Wednesday, the European Parliament mission is scheduled to visit Syunik Province, meet with local government representatives, visit settlements affected by the latest Azerbaijani military aggression, and meet with the civilian population.
