At the Jakarta defense exhibition Indo Defense 2022, Indonesian company PT Pindad unveiled a remote-controlled kamikaze drone called Minibe, Detik.com reported.

"It's just a prototype for now, so when it reaches user level, we will release an updated version," said Pindad Saraswati, senior product development specialist at PT Pindad.

"We contacted the Indonesian National Army and received good feedback, so we feel supported in developing the drone," Saraswati added.

Major players in the Indonesian military industry have recently been busy developing armed UAVs. Such drones can be used for such reconnaissance, border patrol and air-to-ground combat.
