YEREVAN. – The National Gallery of Armenia has joined the Impressionisms Routes project, thus expanding Armenia's engagement in the Cultural Routes program of the Council of Europe (CoE).

At the recent meeting of the main assembly of the Impressionisms Routes project, the National Gallery of Armenia was officially chosen as a member of this project, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

This cooperation creates new opportunities for the popularization of Armenian culture in the European cultural landscape, intercultural dialogue, and the implementation of new joint projects.

The aim of the Cultural Routes program is to demonstrate, by means of a journey through space and time, how the heritage of the different countries and cultures of Europe contributes to a shared and living cultural heritage.

Armenia joined the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the CoE in 2015 and is currently included in the Wine (Iter Vitis) and Impressionisms Routes.
