The Norwegian Foreign Ministry called nonsense the allegations of the country's involvement in the undermining of the Nord Stream pipeline. The accusations are nonsense, a ministry spokesman said.

Earlier, deputy representative of the UN Secretary-General Farhan Haq said that the world organization could not verify the investigation of American journalist Seymour Hersh on the responsibility of the United States for the undermining of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines.

Later, Pentagon spokesman stated that the United States had nothing to do with the undermining of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines.

US journalist Seymour Hersh published the results of his own investigation dedicated to sabotage of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines in which he, in particular, accused the US of using submarine divers for the subversion. According to the journalist, the operation had been prepared for nine months.
