Lilit Makunts, Ambassador of Armenia to the US, met with Eleni Kounalakis, Lieutenant Governor of the state of California, in Los Angeles.

As reported by the embassy of Armenia in the US, during the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues related to the deepening of cooperation within the framework of the California-Armenia Agreement, the recent manifestations of xenophobia in California, as well as the involvement of the Armenian community in the life of the State.

The parties also discussed the security situation in the South Caucasus region, the blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan and the resulting humanitarian crisis.

The parties agreed to develop cooperation in economy and trade.
