Parliamentary elections are again held in Greece, Reuters reports.

A majority of voters are expected to cast ballots for the conservative New Democracy party of former Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, giving it a second term in office.

Mitsotakis' New Democracy party won the May 21 election, beating out the left-wing Syriza party, which ruled Greece from 2015 to 2019.
But it failed to win the absolute majority needed to govern without a coalition, prompting another vote on alternative rules that would make it easier for the winning party to secure a majority in the 300-member parliament.

Polling stations opened at 07:00 local time throughout Greece and will close in 12 hours.
