A telephonic conversation took place Sunday between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Azerbaijani media report, citing the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

During the telephone conversation, the current state and prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and Iran were discussed.

The importance of talks and mutual contacts between the respective agencies and officials of the two countries in a number of domains of bilateral and regional relations, including economic and transport projects, was noted.

Along with that, the importance of continuing negotiations on bilateral agenda issues and their resolution was emphasized.

During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views was held also on a number of multilateral and regional matters.
