
Thirteen people died as a result of heavy rains in several regions of Tajikistan on Sunday, reports the press service of President Emomali Rahmon.
"Due to heavy rains yesterday, a natural disaster occurred in Vahdat city and Rudaki region, resulting in the death of 13 people, including 11 people in Vahdat city and 2 people in Rudaki region," the statement said on Monday.
Capital Dushanbe and several other regions of Tajikistan experienced heavy rains on Sunday, causing road flooding and mudslides.
Also, eyewitnesses have posted videos on social media from the aforesaid regions and the capital of Tajikistan, where the roads are flooded.
