The Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) authorities do not know who the security service of Azerbaijan arrested on suspicion of "sabotage" on September 19.
Azerbaijan informed Monday that as part of the "antiterrorist measures" carried out on September 19-20, persons suspected of committing "terrorist acts," including the deaths of two Azerbaijani civilians and four policemen who died as a result of explosions on September 19, were disarmed and arrested.
Hunan Tadevosyan, the spokesperson of Artsakh's Ministry of Internal Affairs, told the RFE/RL Armenian Service that they do not know who the Azerbaijanis arrested, and they also learned about it from the Azerbaijani media.
Azerbaijan has not published the names or any photos yet.
According to Tadevosyan, there are many missing persons, therefore it is difficult to say whether the aforesaid arrested persons are among them.
As per Hunan Tadevosyan, an operational headquarters has been opened attached to the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs, and search and rescue operations are being coordinated from this operational headquarters.
"At the moment, everyone is being evacuated from the [Artsakh] regions," Tadevosyan said.
