Tigran Khachatryan, the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, held a meeting with the newly appointed head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos.

During the meeting, Khachatryan congratulated Ambassador Maragos on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Armenia. He expressed confidence that both sides would make efforts to strengthen Armenia-EU relations and enhance cooperation during the ambassador's tenure.

Deputy Prime Minister Khachatryan also briefed Ambassador Maragos on the immediate needs of individuals forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and outlined the short-term and medium-term measures the Armenian government plans to take to address these needs. In response, Ambassador Maragos expressed concern about the humanitarian situation and affirmed the EU's readiness to support the Armenian government's initiatives aimed at assisting those forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.

The two officials also discussed cooperation in various areas under the EU Economic and Investment Plan during their meeting.
