Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: US Congressman Tom Kean said during the hearing [at the Congressional Foreign Affairs Committee] on "The Future of Nagorno-Karabakh":

"We cannot allow the region to be shaken by another war, considering the ongoing conflicts in the world. I am deeply disappointed that Baku chose to occupy the region by force instead of settling the conflict diplomatically; it only deepened the mistrust between the two sides. I would like to hear how today's rapporteurs convey the message to [Azerbaijani] President Aliyev that the use of force against the sovereign territory of Armenia, including the Syunik region, will be absolutely unacceptable."
