Armenia's economic activity index increased by 9.2 percent in January-October 2023 compared to the same period last year. Armenian News-NEWS.am learns about this from the Statistical Committee of Armenia.

The amount of the country’s industrial output decreased by 0.5 percent in January-October of this year compared to the same period last year.

The amount of construction in the first ten months of 2023, however, increased by 16.4 percent compared to the same time last year.

Armenia’s trade went up by 23.3 percent.

In the same period, the amount of rendered services increased by 12.1 percent.

In January-October 2023, the consumer price index in Armenia went up by 2.5 percent compared to the same period last year, and the industrial product price index increased by 1.6 percent.

A drop by 3.5 percent was recorded in the amount of electricity production, compared to the same time last year.

Armenia’s foreign trade grew by 41.2 percent in January-October of this year compared to the same time last year. In addition, exports increased by 38.5 percent, and imports—by 42.9 percent.

And the exchange rate of the Armenian national currency, the dram, was 390.27 against 1 US dollar this January-October.
