A considerable increase in the number of tourists was recorded in Armenia in the first nine months of 2023, compared to the same period in 2022. Deputy Minister of Finance Vahan Sirunyan stated this in the National Assembly (NA), during the debates on the report on the performance of the state budget for the first nine months of 2023, at Monday’s meeting of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.
According to him, the aforesaid increase was 48.4 percent.
The largest number—with 29.1 percent—of these tourists was from Russia,.
And total of 1 million 839 thousand tourists visited Armenia in the first nine months of this year.
