Tobias Billstrom, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, has welcomed Thursday evening’s joint statement by Armenia and Azerbaijan, responding to the respective reaction by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
“Very good news this evening! Sweden supports the efforts of Charles Michel to facilitate a peace-process between Armenia and Azerbajdzjan for the benefit of both countries and the region,” Billstrom wrote on X, former Twitter.
As reported earlier, in accordance with the aforesaid joint statement by Armenia and Azerbaijan, the latter shall release 32 Armenian captives. And Armenia, in its turn, and guided by the values of humanity and as a manifestation of goodwill, shall release two Azerbaijani servicemen.
