Residents of the northern regions of Kazakhstan mistakenly received SMS-messages, which said about the cooling to -380 ° C in the specified areas, reports RIA Novosti.

The warning came to the cell phones of subscribers who use the services of mobile operator Tele2 (Mobile Telecom-Service LLP). The incident took place back on December 8, and the information about frosts concerned the same day.

"On the territory of North Kazakhstan region severe frost to -380 °C. Cancellation of classes 0-11 classes," - stated in the message.

As a result, residents of the region began to actively publish in social networks screens of the warning. Many jokingly noted that even against the background of the "frost apocalypse," they would have to go to work.

Against the background of what happened, the agency asked the press service of Tele2 to comment on the situation. As representatives of the mobile operator pointed out, there was a technical glitch during the SMS mailing - the degree symbol turned out to be replaced by zero.

"After the incorrect digit was detected, a corrected message was sent to all subscribers in the region where the severe frost came," the company's press service added.
