Iran assesses the actions of Israel as a terrorist act, as a result of which the advisor of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Seyed Razi Mousavi, was killed in Syria. This was announced by Nasser Kanaani, official representative of the Iranian foreign ministry.

Kanaani called Israel's actions "cowardly," and noted that "the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to take the necessary retaliatory measures at the appropriate time and where needed."

Iran's Tasnim state news agency reported on Monday that the aforesaid advisor of the IRGC was killed during an Israeli missile attack near the Syrian capital of Damascus. Iran's ambassador to Syria, Hossein Akbari, noted that Israel had hit, with three rockets, the house where the advisor lived. The IRGC confirmed Mousavi's death.
