Volkswagen will equip Golf, Tiguan, and ID4 with artificial intelligence voice assistant ChatGPT, reports Automotive News Europe.

The updated voice assistant, which can answer general questions, control entertainment functions, and communicate with the driver, will appear in Volkswagen vehicles in Europe and North America in the second quarter of 2024. The new feature will be available after the over-the-air vehicle software update.

To implement the new feature, the German automaker signed a partnership agreement with software developer Cerence.

Volkswagen emphasizes that it is the first car manufacturer to make this technology a standard feature in cars in the compact segment.
