It is about all our impartial partners. Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, said this on the air of the Public Television Armenia, answering the question why Armenia does not try to conclude a peace treaty with Azerbaijan in Russia.

"It is about all our impartial partners, and it is important for us that the platforms where discussions will take place are for the benefit of the establishment of stability and peace, and not for mediators to try to reap their own dividends from this process," he added.

When asked if Russia is no longer neutral, Kostanyan said that logically, each country advances its own interests.

"Armenia also assesses to what extent these interests are comparable with its interests and, in particular, with the inseparability of the borders of Armenia's sovereignty, territorial integrity", he said.

Kostanyan noted that before signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, it should be completed, and all partners, including Russians, can send signals to the Azerbaijani side in support of the principles voiced by Armenia.
