Armenia's security, including in the technico-military domain, does not seem possible without cooperation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). Viktor Vasilyev, ambassador-at-large for the CSTO at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, told RIA Novosti about this.

"I cannot provide you with information that clearly shows that Armenia's security, including in the technico-military domain, is not possible without cooperation within the framework of the CSTO," Vasilyev said.

In addition, the Russian diplomat added that his country sees attempts by Western countries to use the current situation in Armenia to escalate the situation not only there, but also in the entire Caucasus.

"We use discussions within the framework of the CSTO at all levels in order to focus the attention of our Armenian partners on this premeditated policy of Western countries," Vasilyev emphasized.
