The priorities of the further development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) integration proposed by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, largely coincide with the position of the Russian side. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin while speaking at Friday’s extended meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

"Since January, the functions of the chairmanship at the bodies of the Union have been transferred to Armenia. Dear Nikol Vovayevich [Pashinyan], I would like to wish success to my Armenian colleagues. We have carefully studied your proposed priorities for further development of the [EAEU] integration. They are consistent and largely coincide with the position of the Russian side. Of course, we [i.e. Russia] are ready to provide all possible assistance to their implementation," Mishustin said.

The aforesaid meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is being held in Almaty, Kazakhstan—and  under the chairmanship of Armenia.
