EU High Representative Josep Borrell and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan have announced that the new partnership agenda has already been launched in the Partnership Council. Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia, stated about this stated this during Thursday’s presentation of the summary report and official website of the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform.

This is largely about exploring and using the potential of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. This is a very important document, which is on the way to implementation. But in reality we can achieve higher results together, so that we can respond better to the aspirations of the Armenian people and businesses to have a better life. A life based on values, mutual respect, territorial integrity, and territorial development principles, added the head of the EU Delegation to Armenia.

EU High Representative Borrell noted that he wants to visit Armenia to make the first proposal of that agenda, Maragos said, adding that he believes their presence in Armenia will be most welcome.

Also, he noted that there are already certain results of the work towards the new agenda.

We will strengthen cooperation in security. The EU has asked its High Representative and the European Commission to consider the possibility of improving the relations between the EU and Armenia in all domains. This is exactly what is being done with colleagues in Brussels, added the head of the EU Delegation to Armenia.
