NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has told the Associated Press agency that the alliance has no plans to send its military to Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron said after a meeting of European leaders in Paris that in order to achieve victory over Russia in the war, sending Western ground troops to the country was not ruled out.

Stoltenberg said, "NATO allies are providing unprecedented support to Ukraine." "We have been doing so since 2014 and stepped up after the full-scale invasion. But there are no plans to station NATO military personnel in Ukraine."

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also ruled out the possibility that European countries and NATO alliance members would send ground troops to Ukraine.
