Pope Francis on Wednesday received the members of the Synod of the Armenian Catholic Church who arrived in the Vatican, informs the embassy of Armenia in the Holy See.

In his address to them, the Pope noted that he was happy for this meeting following the commemoration day of St. Gregory of Narek, and then reflected on Armenia.

"How can one not remember, with words or prayers, Armenia, especially those who fled from Nagorno-Karabakh, the many displaced families seeking refuge?" he said, in particular.

Speaking about ongoing wars and conflicts, the pontiff called them "always tragic and always absurd" and continued: ‘"Enough is enough,’ I begged so many times. (...). And above all, let's pray. I will do it for you and Armenia."
