Any negotiation is much more acceptable than military action. Seyran Ohanyan, head of the opposition Armenia Faction and former defense minister, stated this during Friday’s press briefings in the National Assembly of Armenia—and commenting on the recent Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations, with the mediation of Germany.

According to Ohanyan, the Azerbaijani authorities declare on a regular basis that they do not need a mediator.

"This is due to the fact that they are attempting to put pressure only on the authorities of the Republic of Armenia. On the other hand, they quite wisely use both Western and post-Soviet platforms to advance their interests," added Ohanyan.

In his opinion, there is no need to expect any results from these negotiations.
