Daily work is being done for the return of the Armenian captives being held in Azerbaijan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at his press conference today—and referring to Armenia's efforts for the return of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) leaders who are being held in Azerbaijan's capital Baku.

"Daily work is done for the return of [Armenian] captives, hostages, and other persons being kept in Azerbaijan. I understand that the description of that daily work is meaningless until there is a result. In the meetings with the relatives of our compatriots who were captured before as well, I also accepted that point of view. To be honest, at a point I was avoiding meeting with them. Is that work effective until the return takes place? Obviously not. We did a very long ineffective work on the matter of returning our brothers in December," Pashinyan.

And referring to the Russian President Vladimir Putin's statement that the Nagorno-Karabakh leaders detained in Azerbaijan are not expected in Armenia, Pashinyan noted in surprise that he was not familiar with that statement.

"I didn't hear, maybe I missed [it]," he said.
