Armenian border guards will start their service at Zvartnots International Airport of Yerevan as of August 1. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at his press conference today.

"We just have informed that we made such a decision. And if I'm not mistaken, the deadline is August 1, 2024," Pashinyan noted and added that this is a working matter, not a political or geopolitical one.

Earlier, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president, had told reporters that Russia received information from Armenia about terminating the work of Russian border guards at Zvartnots airport.
