Armenia looks into the prospects of further deepening partnership with the European Union (EU). Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan noted about this on X, former Twitter, and welcomed the resolution passed by the European Parliament.

“Welcoming adoption of European Parliament resolution with such overwhelming majority and clear messages on closer Armenia-EU ties, need for Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, we look into prospects of further deepening our partnership, with strong commitment to democracy, development and building lasting peace in the region,” Mirzoyan wrote.

The resolution submitted at Wednesday’s plenary session of the European Parliament regarding the need for closer relations between the EU and Armenia as well as a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan was adopted, with 504 votes in favor, 4 against, and 32 abstentions.
