Taiwan's biggest earthquake in at least 25 years killed seven people on Wednesday, injuring more than 700 in Hualien Country, Reuters reported, citing the local authorities.

Another 77 people remained trapped in the damaged buildings.

Earlier it was reported about four casualties and 97 injured.

The quake measured magnitude 7.2, was recorded at 7:58am local time, and it felt throughout the territory of Taiwan.
