Tensions in the Middle East were rising all last night, Al Jazeera TV reported. This morning, Israel launched several airstrikes on southeastern Lebanon, which is one of Hezbollah's strongholds.

It is not yet known if there are casualties, but Israel has carried out about five airstrikes. The situation is escalating by the minute and everyone is waiting to see what the next move will be.
