The U.S. Under Secretary of State for Civil Security, Democracy, and Human Rights, Uzra Zeya was in Armenia July 13-16. In a conversation with Hetq.am, Zeya spoke about Armenian-American cooperation, Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations with American mediation, the right of return of Artsakh Armenians, the preservation of Artsakh's Armenian heritage, and democratic reforms in Armenia.

When asked if she could confirm the information about the decision that a representative of the U.S. Army will work in the Armenian Defense Ministry, Zeya said, “I confirm this news.
