I want to say very directly that at the moment, I do not see conditions for the Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians to return to their homeland, their homes, and to live safely. And, frankly, I do not see any efforts on the part of Azerbaijan also to ensure these conditions. This was stated by foreign minister Ararat Mirzoyan in the National Assembly of Armenia Friday, during the debates on the implementation of the government's 2024 program, referring to opposition MP Lilit Galstyan’s remark that what happened in Nagorno-Karabakh and international lawsuits strengthen Armenia because Nagorno-Karabakh was the homeland and millennial land for the aforesaid Armenians.

“We all, including in the [Armenian] MFA official statements, have long recorded that such conditions have been created for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh that their physical safe existence [there] was not possible, and forcible deportations [by Azerbaijan] took place,” the Armenian FM added.
